On 5 July 2023, Barcelona will turn into the epicentre of world athletics with the celebration of the 26th International Trophy City of Barcelona International Meeting. The event, which will take place in the Joan Serrahima Stadium, will be part of the World Athletics Continental Tour 2023, in the Challenger D category, and will bring together elite athletes from more than 28 countries.

The female athletes will compete in a wide range of disciplines, including the 200m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m obstacle events, as well as the pole vault, triple jump and discus throw. As for the men, the competitions will include the 200m, 800m, 1500m, 110m hurdles, high jump, long jump, javelin throw, and the 3000m Sub 20.

This event’s international impact will be magnified thanks to the live broadcast, replicating the success of the previous edition, which attracted 590,278 viewers on TV3, Esport 3 and channel 324.
