Barcelona promotes cybersecurity and digital transformation at the DES-SHOW 2025

On Tuesday 10 June, Barcelona, through the IMI, took part in the Digital Enterprise Show (DES-SHOW) 2025, held in Malaga, with interventions in two key sessions on the agenda, centred on cybersecurity and the digital transformation of the public administrations.
At 1.00 pm, David Esteban, Director of Security at the IMI, took part in the session “Fighting phishing: How to spot scams before they strike”, held in the Auditorium Oracle.
His speech covered key aspects of cybersecurity and the fight against phishing, within the context of Security & Defence and Cybersecurity. His contribution highlighted strategies for the prevention and early detection of threats and the importance of protecting municipal systems from attacks of this nature.
At 5.00 pm, Emili Rubió, Manager of the IMI, took part in the session “Digital transformation of the public administrations, a key impetus for the future”, This session was part of the CEO & Leadership Summit and also included a talk by Iñigo Polo, director of Public Administrations and Digital Services at MasOrange.
The session addressed the way in which emerging technologies and connectivity solutions are accelerating the modernisation of the public sector, improving efficiency and its capacity to adapt to new digital challenges.
Barcelona City Council’s participation in the DES-SHOW 2025 reaffirms its commitment, with the support of the IMI, to the development of a secure, digital administration geared towards the needs of citizens.
