The Blue-Up project is aimed at start-ups and business ideas directly linked to blue sectors such as nautical activities, water sports, naval construction and maintenance, port activities, renewable marine energies, sustainable fishing, the bioeconomy, water treatment, blue tourism and more.

Fifteen blue projects in each edition

Twenty projects will be chosen from all those presented. These will progress onto an intensive training course before a panel of experts select a maximum of fifteen projects. For three months, these initiatives will have access to training, support, mentoring and other activities. At the end of this period, awards will be given to the projects with the greatest potential for impact and growth.

Port de Barcelona and Costa Cruceros are key partners in the Blue-Up programme, as are collaborating bodies such as the UPC, Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, Seastainable ventures and Aticco.
