Bacteriological research

This bacteriological research laboratory, where vaccines against cholera, tuberculosis, typhoid and rabies were developed, remained in operation until the 1970s. Nearby, in the Jardins de Jaume Ferran i Clua, stands a monument to Dr Ferran by the sculptor Josep Cañas i Cañas.
