All the buildings in Rambla de Prat, which goes from C/ Gran de Gràcia to C/ Príncep d’Astúries, preserve the precepts and decorative motifs of the Modernista era.

  • Urban spaces

The Prat family’s land stretched as far as the La Fontana estate. The name of this rambla is a reminder of the family that owned it.
The municipal architect Miquel Pascual divided the land next to the rambla into plots at the end of the 19th century. These were built on in a very short period of time, maintaining a unitary style, despite being by different architects. Numbers 4 to 10 were designed by Domènec Boada, with heavy floral ornamentation. The building at number 17 is by Andreu Audet i Puig and is remarkable for the iron and glass gallery, and for the three crowning features in the form of petals.

Observacions

Avinguda de 160 m de llarg i uns 17 m d'ample que uneix la Via Augusta amb el carrer Gran. El projecte inicial de Miquel Pascual, arquitecte municipal de la Vila de Gràcia, contingut al Plano General de Alineaciones de 1889, no es realitzà fins al 1894 i per aquests motiu els edificis del conjunt són d'estil marcadament modernista i de concepció estilística molt unitària.
