Monterols Park is also known as Turó d’en Gil, named after a very family with considerable influence on the country’s economy. The founder of this dynasty, Pere Gil, who was responsible for bringing gas to Barcelona, used to take his family to summer in this elevated estate. Today, their garden is criss-crossed by steep trails and circular paths that work their way up the hill. Once at the top, you can enjoy an extensive view of the city.
