CEM Can Caralleu is one of Sant Gervasi’s prized facilities and one of Barcelona’s biggest sports centres.

Can Caralleu is one of many neighbourhoods that came about after the Civil War, when waves of immigrants built their own houses wherever they could find any available space. Urban architects eventually organised the neighbourhood, which has been home to one of the largest municipal sports centres in the city since 1969. You don’t have to be a member to take a dip in its pool, enjoy a hydro massage or the sauna or have a relaxing massage: you can buy a day pass!
